God is My Salvation – Message 36 – Saving Grace – Isaiah 30:1. Grace is defined as “The free bestowal of kindness on one who has no claim to it. The unmerited love and goodness of God given to those who have forfeited it and are by nature under a sentence of condemnation.” (Berkhof). We learn in this sermon how the grace of God is the source of every spiritual blessing, is the way of salvation, is preached to the world, is that by which sinners receive the gift of God in Christ, is that by which sinners are justified, and is that by which saints will finally inherit complete salvation and eternal life. But first, let’s be sure we truly understand the definition of God’s saving grace, because many today cheapen it and redefine it to the hurt of their souls!
